2024 Pickleball Tournament Calendar and Schedule (All Dates)

Since 2024 is now here, millions of pickleball fans are more than excited to watch their favorite players in tournaments.

If you’re a new fan or player of the sport, you have four major pickleball tournaments to choose from - the US OPEN Pickleball Championships, the USA Pickleball National Championships, the PPA Tour, and the APP Tour.

Below are their calendar and list of upcoming schedules in 2024.

2024 US OPEN Pickleball Championships

Dubbed the biggest pickleball tournament in the world, the Minto US Open Pickleball Championships is held yearly in Naples, Florida.

In 2023, more than 3,000 players from 29 countries around the world and different US states competed, and 40,000 spectators watched. This coming year will be its 8th annual event, to be held at the East Naples Community Park, which has 64 pickleball courts! Here is their 2024 schedule of events:

2024 USA Pickleball National Championships

The USA Pickleball National Championships is one of the biggest pickleball tournaments in the world. It is an annual event sponsored by USA Pickleball, the sport's governing body.

The 2023 event was held at the Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, Texas, from November 5 to 12. As announced by USA Pickleball, the 2024 USA Pickleball National Championships will be held at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Arizona, from November 10 to 17, 2024.

2024 USA Pickleball-Sanctioned Tournaments

Aside from the national championships, USA Pickleball also grants qualifying tournaments and gathers the results. Most are USA Pickleball MMP Sanctioned events, while some are Golden Tickets to the 2024 USA Pickleball National Championships.

2024 PPA Tour

The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) tour is considered the leading professional pickleball tour in the US. Last September, a merger deal was finally sealed between the PPA Tour and the Major League Pickleball (MLP) to unify the sport and provide the biggest pickleball tournament in the country. Last November, the PPA Tour and MLP released their combined schedule of tournament events for 2024.

2024 APP Tour

Unlike the PPA Tour, the Association of Pickleball Players (APP) is sanctioned by USA Pickleball at its MMP (Medal Match Plus) level. Therefore, players should be members of USA Pickleball to be eligible for tournaments. The 2024 APP Tour will feature APP Next Gen tournaments and introduce APP Signature Events, such as the AARP Champions Cup. Below is the completed list of their events for the entire 2024.

The APP announced that the 2024 APP Sacramento Open and APP Miami Open are both 'Golden Ticket' events for the 2024 USA Pickleball National Championships. Therefore, gold medal winners of these two events will automatically qualify for the much-awaited main event of the year.

2024 World Pickleball Tour

The World Pickleball Tour (WPT) was founded in 2021 but is now one of the largest providers of amateur pickleball tournaments in the US. Their tournaments are USA Pickleball-sanctioned but are fun as well. So far, there are 29 WPT tournaments for this year.

If you’re outside the US, there could be a pickleball organization in your country, and you can look through local Facebook groups to find some. Pickleball is now played in more than 90 countries around the world, and yours could very well be one of them.
