Texas is dubbed the third US state with the most pickleball courts, so no wonder many tournaments are held in various cities. This year, there are only a few events for APP and PPA tours in Texas. Fortunately, non-sanctioned tournaments are almost everywhere.
Also, there is one Golden Ticket tournament in Texas this year. It means that the gold medal winner of this event will automatically qualify for the 2024 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships, which will be held on November 14-17 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Arizona.
So, go ahead and mark your calendars while browsing this page. I'm pretty sure you'll find an upcoming pickleball tournament near you.
2024 APP Tour
The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) Tour is the only tour sanctioned by USA Pickleball. So far, the APP Tour has 19 events across the country. Five of them are Golden Tickets, while three of them are in Texas.

The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour is not USA Pickleball-sanctioned. Therefore, you can still join their tournaments even if you're not a member of USA Pickleball. Last year, the PPA agreed to merge with Major League Pickleball (MLP). The PPA

As of this writing, around 50 major pickleball tournaments are sanctioned by USA Pickleball, including the APP Tour. Eleven of those 50 events are Golden Tickets for the 2024 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships.
