The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) revealed three more Golden Ticket tournaments for the 2024 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships. The three additional golden ticket events are the 2024 APP Cincinnati Open, the APP New York City Open, and the APP Newport Beach Open.
As of today, there are now five major APP Tour events where gold medal winners will automatically qualify for the highly anticipated USAP National Championships. The announcement comes after USA Pickleball released its latest list of Golden Ticket tournaments, which now has a total of 11 spectacular events.
“The APP is honored to host five of USA Pickleball’s ‘Golden Ticket’ tournaments leading into the 2024 USAP National Championships. these events highlight some of the top pickleball players across the country, and we’re thrilled to provide an incredible opportunity for them to take part in an event we’re all excited about.” APP Founder Ken Herrmann said in a press release.
In case you missed it, the APP earlier announced the 2024 APP Sacramento Open and APP Miami Open as the first two golden tickets to the USA Pickleball National Championships. The Sacramento event will be held from March 6 to 10 at Johnson Ranch Pickleball Complex, while the Miami event will be from March 20 to 24, to be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The 2024 APP Cincinnati Open will occur from May 8 to 12 at Sawyer Point, while the APP New York City Open will be held from May 22 to 26 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The APP Newport Beach Open will follow on July 3-7 at the Tennis and Pickleball Club, where it set the APP Tour’s largest-ever pickleball tournament last year.
Registration for the 2024 APP Sacramento Open and Miami Open is open until February 25 and March 10, respectively. Meanwhile, the registration dates for the three other golden ticket events are yet to be announced, hopefully soon.
